    As Executive Producer, Old School, you will be responsible for ensuring Old School has credible long-term plans, a clear and easily understandable strategic vision, and that the team is set up for success to deliver against them. In addition, you will be accountable for effective and efficient development of various project initiatives to meet their delivery of budget, time and quality. You will have full P&L responsibility for this game and strive to build the teams, game and related services into an ever-growing profit engine. In this role you are a senior member of Jagex’s leadership team and serve as a role model for Jagex’s values and high operating standards. You will also work with the executive team to identify new and unique opportunities for future projects, which are in line with Jagex’s business aims and vision.


    As the overall leader of your business unit you have commercial acumen including ability to run a P&L and comprehensive understanding of business models and gaming services. You have a strong grasp of all aspects of games development and live operations, including Product Strategy, Production, Monetisation, Player Lifecycle, Analytics, Customer Services and Games Technology. You are the principle stakeholder driving collaboration with other functions within Jagex, including marketing, technology and corporate services.


    You will effective in managing and communicating through multiple managerial layers. You will have broad understanding of leadership competencies including production practices, communication, coaching, budgeting, reporting, productivity and customer engagement.


    A strategic thinker, you will be able to define effective strategies for Old School in a competitive market, working with your team to translate those strategies into achievable operational and business plans. You will give high regard to the quality of the player’s experience and ensure the products and services bring customers meaningful value and satisfaction.

    You will ensure a quality live service , balancing the current needs of the business and consumer as you work on features and milestones further into the roadmap. You will work with your team to define the strategic vision and framework to sustain player experiences and business for years to come. You must blend creativity, player facing vision, and business requirements for success. You are the ultimate growth driver for Old School.


    At all times, you will be responsible for ensuring clear communication to the executive team, to peers and to the wider business. You will always act in the interest of the company first. You will ensure the games and team you lead reflect positively on Jagex’s reputation and wider portfolio.



    • Take ownership of the Old School and the specifics of how it delivers the business strategy.
    • Reconcile business and creative needs as the game/s and markets develop in order to deliver sustained growth for the business.
    • Ensure that direct reports have appropriate resources to achieve defined objectives.
    • Achieve the revenue, profit and operational goals of Old School.
    • Interact regularly with the Executive Team to keep abreast of corporate plans and strategies.
    • Work with the SVP Game Development to ensure synchronization with studio goals.
    • Work with stakeholders to drive game/s definition, design and commercial scope.
    • Apply, define and implement the right development process to suit the challenge at hand.
    • Drive the specification, scheduling, status, and exec review processes for Old School.
    • Works to continually advance game development life cycles and production processes.
    • Lead and provide mentorship, coaching and performance management to key members of your team
    • Work in partnership with Human Resources to manage recruitment, training and mentoring efforts.
    • Travel occasionally to other headquarters, other studios, game conferences and partner offices.
    • Build positive long term relationships and partnerships with key groups within the company including Product Marketing, Analytics & Data Science, Strategy, Finance, Tech Services, etc.



    • Extensive commercial experience owning and directing Games as a Service products at an Executive Producer or higher level.
    • Demonstrable record of accomplishment in delivery of significant content for gaming titles, ideally across multiple platforms, particularly PC and Mobile.
    • Thorough understanding of subscription-based business models, managing product-level P&Ls, and meeting and exceeding revenue target goals.
    • Extensive experience in Live Operations on a successful product.
    • Experience with modern development methodologies (e.g. Agile) and Stage Gate methodologies for development project management.
    • Extensive direct experience managing cross-disciplinary game teams, showing a wide range of leadership, communication, motivation and management skills.
    • Proven ability to break a strategy down into a plan for execution.
    • Must have excellent comprehension of all aspects of game production (management, planning, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, programming/technology, design, art, audio, video, localization, QA).
    • Must have good communication skills, balanced decisiveness, and clarity in judgment and establishing priorities.
    • In-depth knowledge of the game industry, its trends, market competition, and be an avid game player.
    • Demonstrate sound decision-making based on both data analysis, market knowledge, and personal judgment.
